I’d like to give a quick nod to my favorite running buddy, Lola.
She’s always excited to go on a run with me. All I need to do is ask: “want to go for a run?” and she’ll dart right to the front door.
There was a break in the rain this afternoon, so Lola and I took advantage. We set out planning to do five miles, but I was feeling great and the rain had cooled it down enough for Lola to go longer. So, the next thing we knew, we hit 4.25 miles before turning around.
8.5 miles. After not running for a week, I’m pretty darn pleased with that distance.
I’m currently training for the Wild West Relay with some fabulous teammates, as well as the Denver full this October. It’s been tough to mix both training schedules. Getting a longer run in this weekend was a necessity though, so I’m glad the rain stopped for long enough!
