Bike To Work, Work to Bike

I made a job change about a month ago, which was really good for a lot of reasons. One really nice thing about the change is that I can ride my bike to work, which I’ve been doing 2-3 times a week. And my bike fits so nicely in my little corner (the perfectionist in me loves that).

It’s about 14 miles each way, mostly on the Platte River trail. Pretty decent. It’s been helping me stay in biking shape. This is key, given it’s the only biking I’ve done in the past couple months since the Iron Horse.

We (me and five family members) have the Courage Classic coming up in a month (eek!), which is a three-day, 150-mile tour in the Colorado mountains. At this point, I’ll be fine with the distance, but not the climbing. I’ll probably need to get out and hit Deer Creek this weekend. Any takers?

Oh, and speaking of the Courage Classic, I’d like to raise $1,000 this year and I’m at $850 right now…if you’re feeling generous, you can donate to my effort by clicking here. Here’s a pic from last year’s ride. Me and the hubs on top of Vail Pass.

Sunshine and butter pops!
